I help students and business professionals achieve their English language and proficiency goals.
I have been teaching since 2001 and began my career as an ESL trainer in 2009, when I moved to Würzburg, Germany. I earned my TESOL/ESL certification in 2013 while living in Lewes, UK. I currently live and work in Tokyo, Japan.
I have taught English in Germany, the UK and Japan - my students live all over the world: I have taught students from Mexico to Saudi Arabia, from Belgium to China. My students range from age 1 - 80 and come from all walks of life. I work with every level of learner.
I have worked at universities in the USA, Germany and Japan and as such, I am culturally aware and able to understand each student’s specific needs. My experience at these universities has made me keenly aware of the application and interviewing process and English requirements at different universities around the world.
Over the time I have spent teaching at language schools in different countries, I have perfected my own method of training and preparing students who hope to take the TOEFL, IELTS and GMAT exams in order to study internationally.
My extensive work, specifically in the field of business English, has made me an expert in MBA applications. The growing number of businesspeople who are looking to acquire an MBA has increased competition in the field of applicants. Therefore, I spend more time and effort with my students working on the best way to give them a competitive edge in the process.
Through this process, my students have a high rate of success and have all gone on to study abroad at the school of their choice.

Through my years of experience as a teacher and language learner, I have come to understand that the best way to learn and retain anything is to do it in a way that is fun, stress-free and relevant to each student’s personal needs and interests.
For this reason, I do my best to make each lesson a fun and engaging one - the more I know about my students, the better I am able to customize our practice and work to suit their specific educational or work requirements.
Building a relationship with strong, mutual understanding with my students is a part of my work and leads to their eventual success.
